In this very new group everyone brings a book, (fiction or non-fiction) to the meeting that they want to recommend to the rest of the group. In turn each member talks, for up to 10 minutes, about their book such as a short summary of the themes of the book, and, what made it interesting and worth reading. Then other members of the group comment if they have read the book, or maybe another book by the same author. Perhaps members name other books of the same genre that they like. We might even get diverted, for a short time, onto the subject of the book. However, we do try to keep the discussion relevant.
No extra reading work for this book group. You have already read it. The only extra preparation needed from you is thinking what to say to the Group about your book. No reading a book, even to the end, even though you really dislike it. However, you do now know about books you would otherwise not have known about or perhaps not thought of reading.
For now, I want to limit the group to 12 so everyone can participate fully if they wish. I will keep a waiting list so let me know if you wish to join us.
We will meet on the Second Monday every OTHER month, starting 13th July 2026.
