Acting Out the Great Plays

If you enjoy acting and have a love for those great plays that have graced our theatres and stood the test of time then this is the group for you.
We are a friendly bunch with a passion for drama who have come together to act out some of the great works and to have fun doing so.
There’s no need to learn lines as we read from the text. The casting is done a couple of weeks beforehand so we are familiar with our characters. On the day of the session we explore the themes, historical context, characterisation and interpretation of the plays before working through them. Everyone is offered an opportunity to act or direct.
The sessions run for two hours on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10am in the Lounge at the Lifestyle Centre.
